YRNF NEWS

Today The Young Republican National Federation ("YRNF") has debuted its first ever issue advertisement in jobs starved North Carolina. The commercial "Where Are All The Jobs" is currently scheduled to run through Tuesday, November 2nd and possibly beyond.

The first airing of the video will be through media outlets in the North Carolina 4th Congressional District, the district of Congressman Price (D), who entered Congress the same year as Democrat Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

The commercial focuses on unemployment, asking "Where are the jobs?", and calls on all those concerned about the current direction of the country to make a telephone call to Democrat Speaker Nancy Pelosi and 22 year North Carolina Congressman David Price and ask them, "Where are the jobs?"

With the release of the advertisement, the YRNF is also rolling out a national viral campaign at a new website (www.whereareallthejobs.com) focusing attention on "Where are the Jobs?". The YRNF national campaign utilizes a version of the video questioning both Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and Speaker Nancy Pelosi and will be airing the video in key areas/districts in the 5 days between now and Election Day. The commercial comes as an addition to the YRNF's campaign support and deployment efforts for the 2010 mid-term elections, which are the largest efforts the organization has implemented in more than a decade.

"The release of this commercial is yet another tangible signal of the importance of YRs in this country's political environment", said Lisa Stickan, Chairman of the YRNF. She noted: "The YRs have clearly been a key component of the conservative movement in the 2010 mid-term campaigns, and we will continue to be in the future".

A special thanks to YRNF Political Director Jonathan Bandy for all his efforts and leadership on this project.

*** UPDATE ***

We wanted to let you know that today the YRNF releases its first commercial focused on jobs and the economy in the NE Ohio media market. The commercial will be airing through media outlets (radio and TV) Monday and Tuesday in Greater Cleveland and the 10th congressional district. "Ohio, particularly the Cleveland area, has suffered more then most from this bad economy. We hope this commercial and all our efforts throughout Ohio will help the voters remember the importance of their vote on Tuesday, and to think about their decision before they cast their ballot.", said Ohio native Lisa Stickan, Chairman of the YRNF.

The commercial focuses on unemployment, asking "Where are the jobs?", and calls on all those concerned about the current direction of the country to make a telephone call to Democrat Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Congressman Dennis Kucinich and ask them, "Where are the jobs?" The NE Ohio commercial can be found at YouTube.

01.09.11    YRNC 2011 Update

Greetings!
The Young Republican Federation of Puerto Rico's Convention Host Committee has asked us to remind you to register now for the upcoming YRNF Convention this July 6-10 in San Juan. The current registration price is $135 through the end of January. Registration information is available at the host committee's website, www.yrnfpuertorico2011.com. As has been the practice with previous conventions, the host committee is expected to extend group rates to state federations shortly.

The Convention team is in the process of finalizing their arrangements with the Caribe Hilton in San Juan. Once finalized, the hotel contract is expected to provide a room registration rate of approximately $129/night.  As the final details are still being negotiated, this price could change, however the Committee asked that we provide you with this estimate for your budgeting purposes. Keep in mind that these rates may not include applicable local taxes.

The Convention's Host Committee and the YRNF's Oversight Committee are working together to ensure that delegates and guests experience the highest-quality event possible. Occasionally, this process doesn't move along as quickly as we all would prefer, but the final specifics should be available shortly.

Finally, the Host Committee has asked us to again remind you that passports will not be necessary to attend the Convention.

Best wishes to you for a happy and healthy New Year and look for a new www.yrnf.com to launch very shortly.

Best Regards,

11.06.10    Young Republicans Go Global!

Young Republican National Federation to send representatives to the International Young Democrat Union Council Meeting 2010 Hosted by the British Conservative Party and Conservative Future December 1-4, 2010 London, England.

After "taking back" Washington this November, the Young Republican National Federation is going global! We're going to London from December 1-4, 2010 for the 2010 Council Meeting of the International Young Democrat Union (IYDU) to network with emerging right-of-center leaders from all over the world and hear from the new Conservative-led government, which finally came to power after more than a decade of Labour rule.

We want YOU to come too! The IYDU, a global coalition of RIGHT-of-center political youth organizations united by a common desire for greater freedom and less government, is the youth wing of the International Democrat Union, a global alliance of which the Republican Party was a founding member in 1983 following President Ronald Reagan's pivotal speech to the British Parliament at Westminster, where he called for "a crusade for freedom that will engage the faith and fortitude of the next generation." The IYDU alumni network includes government officials and free-market and pro-democracy thinkers worldwide.

The YRNF delegation still has spots open for interested YRs--no international experience necessary, just a desire to learn! There is no conference fee, and some meals are covered--delegates will need to cover airfare and hotel, and YRNF's International Youth Committee will provide advice on fundraising and logistics. To reserve your spot on the YRNF delegation and for more information, please contact YRNF International Youth Committee Co-Chair Christina Goodlander at cgoodlander@gmail.com.

More details are available at www.iydu.org/londoncouncil2010.

11.06.10    CONGRATS, YOU DID IT!

My Fellow Young Republicans: Congratulations!

Your hard work, dedication, and votes culminated in Tuesday's historical Republican comeback.

Young Republicans around the country were engaged in hundreds of campaigns, worked countless hours on behalf of candidates, and spread the conservative message to millions of voters. You were a big part of this nationwide victory, and we all thank you for that! As we settle into a post-campaign world, let's not lose our momentum. We have done a lot of work to start a change in our country, now let us get to the hard work of helping support our elected officials, our government, our party, and strengthen our great country!

The Young Republican National Federation (YRNF) and all our country's leaders need your continued involvement and support in the political process and your communities and look forward to working with you in the months and years to come.

The YRNF experienced its most active election activities to date since its inception:

- The YRNF developed and implemented the largest campaign deployment effort assisting in Firing Pelosi ("OPERATION: REGAINING THE MAJORITY") deploying volunteers on the ground in 12 states: IL, OH, NC, NY, AL, CA, WI, FL, CT, NV, PA, and VA. YR's on deployment.

- "OPERATION REGAINING THE MAJORITY" deployments which included door-to-door activities and phone banking- impacted the above states, and the following races of interest from those states declared victory on Tuesday: Senator-elect Pat Toomey (PA), Governor-elect Tom Corbin (PA), Congresswoman-elect Martha Roby (AL), Senator-elect Rob Portman (OH), Governor-elect John Kasich (OH), the Ohio Statehouse (now under republican control), every statewide executive office in Ohio; Congresswoman-elect Nan Heyworth (NY), the North Carolina General Assembly (now under republican control), Supreme Court Justice-elect Judge Barbara Jackson (NC), Governor-elect Scott Walker (WI), Senator-elect Ron Johnson (WI), Congressman-elect Sean Duffy (WI-7).
