The College Republican National Committee and the Young Republican National Federation and have partnered with American Crossroads and the Republican State Leadership Committeeto launch an unprecedented youth initiative, Crossroads Generation, to mobilize young people for Republicans.

Crossroads Generation, which will be structured as an Independent Expenditure Only Committee, will begin with an initial $750,000 in start-up capital. The project is is funded through CRNC, RSLC, and American Crossroads, which have each contributed $250,000 to the project.

With young people facing high unemployment, a grim job market and record high student loan debt, the youth vote is up for grabs.

Crossroads Generation will tap into the CRNC's membership of more than 250,000 college students on over 1,800 campuses nationwide and the YRNF's membership of 100,000 young professionals throughout the country.

"President Obama won young people in 2008 with a message of hope and change that just did not pan out. My generation has been disproportionately hurt by the policies of President Obama, which is precisely why we need Crossroads Generation," CRNC Chairman Alex Schriver said.

"The college students who voted for President Obama four years ago are now recent graduates who are 53% un- or under-employed. These young professionals are desperate for economic policy that can deliver a pro-business, pro-job environment that can help them establish themselves as they look to build careers and families," said Lisa Stickan, Chairman of the Young Republican National Federation.

The College Republican National Committee and the Young Republican National Federation are the nation's oldest, largest, and most active youth political organizations. The CRNC is an 527 group and boasts more than 250,000 members on over 1,800 campuses. The YRNF is also a 527 with over 100,000 young professional members.

“Where Are All The Jobs” Commercial

May 9, 2012 in Featured by admin

The Young Republican National Federation (“YRNF”) debuted its first ever issue advertisement in jobs starved North Carolina. The commercial “Where Are All The Jobs” is currently scheduled to run through Tuesday, November 2nd and possibly beyond.

The first airing of the video will be through media outlets in the North Carolina 4th Congressional District, the district of Congressman Price (D), who entered Congress the same year as Democrat Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

The commercial focuses on unemployment, asking “Where are the jobs?”, and calls on all those concerned about the current direction of the country to make a telephone call to Democrat Speaker Nancy Pelosi and 22 year North Carolina Congressman David Price and ask them, “Where are the jobs?”

The commercial comes as an addition to the YRNF’s campaign support and deployment efforts for the 2010 mid-term elections, which are the largest efforts the organization has implemented in more than a decade.

“The release of this commercial is yet another tangible signal of the importance of YRs in this country’s political environment”, said Lisa Stickan, Chairman of the YRNF. She noted: “The YRs have clearly been a key component of the conservative movement in the 2010 mid-term campaigns, and we will continue to be in the future”.

A special thanks to YRNF Political Director Jonathan Bandy for all his efforts and leadership on this project.

*** UPDATE ***

We wanted to let you know the YRNF released its first commercial focused on jobs and the economy in the NE Ohio media market. The commercial will be airing through media outlets (radio and TV) in Greater Cleveland and the 10th congressional district. “Ohio, particularly the Cleveland area, has suffered more then most from this bad economy.

We hope this commercial and all our efforts throughout Ohio will help the voters remember the importance of their vote on Tuesday, and to think about their decision before they cast their ballot.”, said Ohio native Lisa Stickan, Chairman of the YRNF.

The commercial focuses on unemployment, asking “Where are the jobs?”, and calls on all those concerned about the current direction of the country to make a telephone call to Democrat Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Congressman Dennis Kucinich and ask them, “Where are the jobs?” The NE Ohio commercial can be found at YouTube.
